I am so excited to be your child's fourth grade teacher this year! We are going to have a fun-filled year learning lots of new things!
Teaching Experience
This is my third year teaching and I'm really excited to start my career here at Ball's Bluff Elementary!
I studied elementary education at James Madison University! Go Dukes! I graduated with my Masters in Arts and Teaching in 2015. During my time at JMU I had lots of unique teaching opportunities, my favorite of which was student teaching in a Primary 3 class (about 1st grade age) in Newry, Northern Ireland! My concentration during college was on math, science, and technology. I love finding new ways to use technology to expand students' learning experiences!
I currently teach both Reading and Writing in 4th grade at Ball's Bluff. We work hard to integrate our content area knowledge into our reading and writing programs.
About Me
I was born and raised in Leesburg, VA. This past summer my family was very busy! I got married to my husband, Dylan, and we moved into our first home together. Our family has two wonderful dogs, Prim and Peaches, who love to go on walks after school!
I love to travel and hope to utilize our summer vacations to continue to do so!
I also love to read and hope to instill that love into my students.
I am so excited to work with my new class this year!
